SuperHero Immune Cell Team is an engaging in-class visual learning activity. Students are provided with five different crocheted or plush toy immune cells, animation videos, and immune cell questions to recreate immune cell function necessary to clear infections in your body. The students will visualize and develop questions about each immune cell’s role in The 3 Rs of Immunology (Recognition, Response, & Remember) in clearing pathogens, pathogen escape tactics, and response to vaccines. This activity is relevant for students that learn Immune cell basics in Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Immunology courses at the college and high school level.
