Think you need a coding background or a budget to build custom software for your course? You don't. In this hands-on workshop, you will vibe code: describe what you want in plain English and let AI build it. Using MicroID Lab Guide, a free, open-source unknown bacterial-identification app, you will fork (duplicate) the code, deploy your own copy, and customize it for your class without writing code yourself. Bring a laptop and access to an AI coding platform (Claude, ChatGPT/Codex, Google Antigravity). You will leave with a working, course-ready tool and a repeatable method for building zero-cost classroom technology.
