Pre‑health students often separate Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) and Microbiology rather than viewing them as interconnected. This workshop will focus on a project that bridges that gap through a Bloom’s‑aligned, co‑developed case study. Students analyze a 22‑year‑old patient with trismus, rigidity, and hyperreflexia, diagnosing tetanus and tracing how tetanospasmin blocks inhibitory neurotransmitters to produce spastic paralysis. The activity requires integrating microbial pathogenesis with nervous system physiology. Assessments span all Bloom’s levels, including evaluating clinical claims and constructing mechanistic explanations. An AI‑literacy component models transparent, faculty‑guided AI use. Early feedback shows improved understanding of concept integration across the pre‑health curriculum.
